Alpaca is 40% warmer than sheep’s wool, yet it wicks moisture away much more efficiently.
Alpaca items are hypoallergenic, they may show some shedding at the beginning but this will go away with use; also the coloring is organic, without the use of chemical dyes. (I have seen the way they make the colors and they use flowers, fruits, plants to get those tones, which is impressive).
Materials are: 80% alpaca 20% acrylic.
Size approximately: 90” x 65” or 230 cm x 165 cm so a Twin size. size varies slightly because are handmade.
A little bit of info about these blankets, they come from Ecuador a beautiful country in South America. Because of the Andes elevations above 12,000 feet, alpacas have a highly warm soft wool. Alpacas are smaller than llamas.
For CARE: please think of these as cashmere, are very delicate so please dont wash them often, dry clean recommended. If you can and have space in your home wash them with cold water and let it airdry. To brush the hair you can use a clean shoe brush and gently follow the direction of the hair. Do not use harsh tools or detergents.
